applications are gaining more and more importance day by day.

Weather conditions and condensation effects of insulation and facade elements.
protection is very important. Breathable waterproofing in wooden facade applications

cover must be 'open to controlled vapor transmission'. Like this
While preventing the passage of water, it helps to transmit water vapor to the atmosphere.

Efficient protection against external conditions

In order to protect the insulation and wooden facade elements, 'open to steam' water
It is recommended to use insulation blankets. A wide variety of 'permeable' water on the market
Although it is an insulating cover, Tyvek® is made of microporous films or sheets.

Its functional thickness is quite high compared to the functional waterproofing membranes formed. It protects the structural elements of the building from rain water leaks during the construction period before the facade cladding systems are installed. Tyvek® also contributes to the airtightness of the façade and prevents heat losses due to transported air. This feature of Tyvek® is of increasing importance as air leaks become more important according to thermal performance requirements in building codes. Tyvek® waterproofing membranes for the facade applications listed below meet all these requirements and have superior strength and durability properties:

• Tyvek® Housewrap / Solid: A waterproofing membrane with high water resistance, light weight and vapor permeability, suitable for wooden facade applications.
• Tyvek® UV Facade: A waterproofing membrane open to vapor passage with long-term UV resistance and non-flammability, provides optimum protection for open and rainy facades.
• Tyvek® Enercor® Wall: It is a vapor permeable waterproofing membrane with a metallized surface that reflects the radiant heat and helps to increase the thermal performance of the building (equivalent to 2 cm rockwool).

DuPontTM Tyvek® waterproofing membranes for roofing applications
DuPont also offers waterproofing membranes and vapor barriers for a wide variety of roofs to comply with the building codes applicable in various European countries. For more information, please review our Tyvek® detail booklet.

Efficient protection from the inside
The energy efficiency of a building can only be significantly improved if the interior of the building is made hermetically sealed and vapor proof. Gaps between insulation layers and capillary cracks in drywall coatings cause uncontrolled air leaks. This situation occurs continuously during the drying process of the buildings, and also thermal movements and settlement during the life of the structure cause this. The gap left in any layer surrounding the building is a potential weak point.

Suitable for roofs, facades and floors, vapor control blankets help reduce convective heat losses and provide improved vapor control for breathing systems. When Tyvek® water and vapor barrier covers are applied uninterruptedly by taping their overlaps and details with Tyvek® tapes, the vapor control cover (vapor suppression cover) provides efficient condensation control for all building types. Intelligent steam control (breaker) covers placed between the insulation material and drywall provide high resistance to the passage of water vapor and provide efficient condensation control inside the building.

•DuPontTM AirGuard® Sd5 – Intelligent Vapor Shutter
It is a 100% airtight air leakage barrier / vapor control blanket suitable for use on roofs, facades and floors. It helps to reduce convective heat losses from the building envelope and prevents air movements inside the building. It keeps the steam inside to a level where the steam pressure does not disturb the people living in the building, and when the steam pressure increases more, it provides steam passage to the outside. AirGuard® Sd5 is an intelligent vapor barrier.

•DuPontTM AirGuard® Sd23 – Intelligent Vapor Shutter
It is a high quality light permeable water vapor control cover. AirGuard® Sd23, developed by using DuPontTM Typar® geotextile, has superior strength resistance. Thanks to its light transmittance feature, the application of the product is very easy. It allows you to see the dowel or bracket connections of drywall or insulation material.

•DuPontTM AirGuard® Reflective – Full Vapor Suppression

It is a 100% airtight vapor barrier cover with metallized surface that reduces heat losses through radiation in winter. It has a thermal insulation value equivalent to 2 cm rockwool and provides an additional support of 0.67 m2 K/W to the heat resistance coefficient.
